A short film collaboration with visual artist Chrissy Hazell. The score has been crafted from manipulated found sounds, recycled sound and an improvised final layer of vocal, piano, clarinet and guitar. The relationship between the visual element and the sound element developed over time, as each new layer affected the next. The result is an audio visual collaboration which attempts to capture a moment.

“I developed a fascination with blasting sounds from one environment into another, capturing new textures and natural acoustics in the process. The improvised layer was recorded as a layer performed to the video created by Chrissy Hazell. The concept of the piece was to allow the lyrical and musical layers to be influenced by the sound bed and video elements. The result felt a lot like a document, displaying a chunk of time and the sounds that drenched those hours.”
